Neil Blomkamp's movie will not compete with Prometheus
The plot of the movie by Neil Blomkamp, the events of which will take place in the universe of Aliens, will not intersect with Ridley Scott's "Prometheus". The director himself spoke about this in an interview with EmpireOnline. "I changed one scene that Ridley Scott thought was in conflict with Prometheus. But I’m quite ready to put up with it, as Ridley himself will be the producer of the picture. He likes what I’m going to do." - commented Blomcamp. He did not specify what kind of storyline he was talking about. The director reiterated that his project will be the development of the first and second movies in the franchise, and joked that it could be called "Alien 3." "I sent my version of the title to Ridley. He was, let's say, a bit provocative, but he liked it. So I will test it, although I'm not sure if it will work," the director added. As a reminder, 20th Century Fox has agreed to fund Blomkamp's project, which will be based on his own ideas and concept art, which the director previously posted on his official Twitter page. Most likely, movieing will start in the summer of 2015 with an eye on the premiere in mid-2017. Sigourney Weaver and Michael Bien have confirmed their participation in the project.
