TV series will be shot through the snow
TV producer Marty Adelstein's Tomorrow Studios (Escape) has acquired the rights to adapt Korean director Pong Joon Ho's feature movie Through the Snow into a TV series. This is reported by the publication Deadline. Josh Friedman ("Avatar 2", "Avatar 3") will write the script. The plot of the story unfolds in the post-apocalyptic ice age, where the only survivors are the passengers of a train traveling around the world. Bong Joon Ho and producer of the original movie, Duho Choi, will take over executive production duties with Friedman. The production will be handled by Adelstein's Tomorrow Studios. The movie was shot by Korean movie company CJ Entertainment & Media. Recently, the video service Netflix donated $ 30 million for the movieing of the movie "Okja," which has been directed by Bong Joon Ho. Chris Evans starred in the fantasy drama Through the Snow, released in 2013. The movie has received rave criticism and many prestigious nominations, mainly for achievements in the "technical" categories – operator, editing, sound, makeup. The awards were given to the work of a screenwriter, director and supporting actors.
