In late February 2015, it was announced that The CW had teamed up with Greg Berlanti, Mark Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg to create a potentially new drama series, a spin-off of Arrows and The Flash, which will feature the cast and their characters from both series: Brandon Ruth (Ray Palmer / Atom), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart / Captain Cold) and Katie Lotz in an as-yet-unnamed role. According to TV Line, citing its sources, the new series will feature three new "mysterious" characters who will join the team.

The first character – The Traveler – similar to Han Solo, uses his charm and has arrived from the future, traveling back in time to complete a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a person in a serious conflict. He has many secrets and neither his teammates nor the audience are sure of his true affection. It has been speculated that the Voyager is none other than Rip Hunter, created by Jack Miller and Ruben Moreira. Another candidate could be Booster Gold, about whom Berlanti and Kreisberg wanted to make a separate series at one time.

The name of the second character is Female Warrior, and she is described as follows: a cute but unassuming Latin American woman in her twenties well-read, smart and shy during the day. But at night, when she hears the noise of a fight, she becomes such a fierce fighter that she can sometimes become a threat to others. The character could be Helena Kosmatos, known as Fury, or Yolanda Montez, the Wildcat, inherited the name of her godfather, Ted Grant. By the way, Grant has appeared in several episodes of the third season of "Arrow".

The third character, Mystery Hero, is described as follows: a twenty-year-old African American, an ordinary street guy who gets unexpected abilities and already in the team regularly ridicules the absurdity of situations. If the assumptions are correct, it could be Virgil Ovid Hawkins or Static.
