Fortitude renewed for a second season
Pivot and Sky Atlantic have commissioned the production of the second season of the crime drama "Fortitude", which takes place in a picturesque settlement in the Arctic. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. In the first season of the psychological thriller, British police detective Eugene Mortan (Stanley Tucci) arrives in Fortitude to investigate the brutal murder of a scientist. He finds himself embroiled in intrigue as he teams up to capture the killer with local police sheriff Dan Anderssen (Richard Dormer), who frankly makes it clear that he is not happy with the stranger. Other leading actors include Michael Gambon, Christopher Eccleston and Sophie Grobel. Series creator Simon Donald, who wrote the script for all thirteen episodes of the first season, regarding the casting for the second season has yet to be heard.
