Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz to star in a movie about Pablo Escobar
Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz will star in a biographical movie dedicated to the famous drug lord Pablo Escobar. This is reported by the Variety edition. The painting will be based on Virginia Vallejo's "Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar", which was published in 2008. The director agreed to be Fernando Leon de Aranoa, who independently adapts the novel for the screen. It is expected that the movie, tentatively titled "Escobar", will tell about the dizzying "career" of the uncrowned king of Colombian drug dealers, who became one of the richest people in the world and actually plunged the country into chaos of lawlessness.
