20th Century Fox has canceled movieing of the May 2015 thriller based on the novel "Parting in Blue", in which Christian Bale was to play the lead role. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this happened due to the injury received by the actor. Bale is said to have torn his knee ligaments.

In the work of John Dunn McDonald's "Parting in Blue", the plot is built around the property rescue consultant Travis McGee, who lives in a floating house, who provides property tracing services and also fights against villains. This is the first in a series of two dozen books.

Director James Mangold planned to shoot the movie in Florida and Puerto Rico. It is still unknown whether the project will be closed or movieing will be postponed for a certain period. The movie adaptation, which 20th Century Fox has been planning for years, would also star Peter Dinklage and Nicola Peltz.

It is worth noting that both Bale and Mangold have very busy movieing schedules. In particular, the latter, immediately after the end of the movieing of the movie "Parting in Blue", was supposed to start working on the third episode of "Wolverine". It is quite possible that this will now happen earlier than expected.
