Joseph Gordon-Levitt will direct the R-rated musical "Wingmen", which is to be funded by Universal. The Variety edition reports about this, specifying that Gordon-Levitt will most likely play one of the main roles in the movie. The second will go to Channing Tatum.

The plot will revolve around two pilots who make an emergency landing in Las Vegas. It is claimed to be a kind of symbiosis between Pitch Perfect and The Book of Mormon, full of black humor. The shooting schedule has not yet been specified, as in the near future Channing Tatum will be busy on the set of the Paramount thriller "Triple Border".

"Wingmen" will be Joseph Gordon-Levitt's second directorial work. In 2013, his comedy entitled "The Passion of Don Juan" was released. The movie was quite successful at the box office: with a budget of only three million dollars, it earned about 30 million and received mostly positive reviews from movie critics.

Tatum already has experience shooting music movies. In 2005 he took part in the creation of the painting "Step Forward" and its continuation.

Wingmen's rental schedule was not known at the time of this writing.
