TV series Inhumans got a director (Topic)

Marvel, ABC and Imax have enlisted the help of director Roel Rein (The Scorpion King 3: The Book of the Dead), who will direct the first two episodes of the upcoming Inhumans series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, these two episodes will be shown on the Imax cinemas network.

The eight-episode action movie, ordered for production in mid-November 2016, is not a television version of the movie of the same name, which, according to Marvel's plans, was to to be released in July 2019, but was later removed from the schedule. The upcoming series is also not a spin-off of ABC's Agents of SHIELD.

The first two episodes of The Inhumans will air in over 1,000 Imax theaters over the weekend following Labor Day, which The USA is traditionally celebrated on the first Monday in September. The series will then air on ABC as part of the new 2017-2018 television season.

The Dutch native Rhine won the Danish equivalent of an Oscar for his first feature movie Delivery in 1999. His 2015 action-drama Admiral was the only Danish movie to make it to the top ten Dutch movie projects. On American television, Raine has worked on Starz's Black Sails.
