Warcraft started in USA without records
The movie "Warcraft", which was based on the series of games of the same name, started in the USA box office without records. According to Deadline, the movie grossed about $ 10 million in the first weekend (just over 600 million rubles at the exchange rate at the time of this writing). This is the second result of 2016, the movie adaptation of the Marvel comics "Deadpool" remained the absolute leader. Taking into account collections in the CIS countries, Warcraft's earnings reached 685-690 million rubles, which is also not the best achievement of the year. It is noteworthy that according to this indicator, "Warcraft" did not even manage to get ahead of one of last year's leaders - the erotic melodrama "Fifty Shades of Gray", the aggregate collection of which in USA and the CIS exceeded 700 million rubles. Let's remind that "Warcraft" was literally defeated by critics of the world's leading publications about cinema. At the time of this writing, it has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of just 20 percent, one of the worst in any game adaptation. Spectators who have already seen the picture were also not happy. The rating on IMDb quickly dropped to 8.1 points. The users of the Cinema News portal rated the project slightly better - 8.5 points.
