ABC canceled Whisper after Season 1 (Topic)

ABC has canceled summertime drama "Whisper" starring Lily Rabe after season one. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Rabe's partner on the series, Milo Ventimiglia, shared the news on his Twitter page, writing that there will be no second season "unfortunately".

The Whisper, which premiered in the traditionally "low" summer period, was described as a race against time to eradicate foreign invaders who wanted to use children for their own purposes. After the pilot was released, ABC dropped the alien theme, turning the series into a mystical thriller.

The ratings of the series, which aired on Mondays at 22:00, were satisfactory - ndash; 1.5 million in key viewers aged 18 to 49. After three days, the demo indicators almost doubled - – 2,3, making the series the best summer debut on public television.

The series began its troubles when, mid-season, the main stars of the show – Rabe, Barry Sloan and Ventimiglia – disappeared from sight. ABC had plans to bring back the lead actors in a second season and replenish the cast. Insiders claim that Rabe and the rest of the group were not happy with the network's decision to move movieing from Los Angeles to Vancouver.
