Mark Hamill has posted on his official Twitter page a unique photo taken on the set of Star Wars: Episode 4 A New Hope. It depicts himself in the form of Luke Skywalker. According to the actor, this is the first image of his character.

"The photo was taken in Tunisia on Day 1, awaiting the shooting of my first scene (robot auction near my hero's house). Most likely, the very first photo of Luke," Hamill wrote under the photo.

Recall that "A New Hope", which later became the fourth episode of the famous saga, was presented to the audience in 1977 and became one of the highest-grossing movie projects of its time. In total, the movie earned about $ 800 million at the box office.

Some of the materials that were not included in the picture were then used to create the first Star Wars spin-off - Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which earned more than one billion dollars at the box office.

According to some reports, Lucasmovie studio intends to re-release all parts of the original trilogy in 4K resolution. The exact timing of this project has not been specified at the time of this writing.
