It's not just Starz fans of Outlander that the fantasy show hasn't been shortlisted for the 68th Emmy Awards. The fans of the drama are in solidarity with none other than George R.R. Martin. The author of the Song of Ice and Fire series wrote on his blog that the second season of Outlander was "robbed" by the American Television Academy when it ignored the series, and therefore did not make it into the main categories of the prime time awards. p>

In particular, Martin wrote: "Outlander was robbed. All three of the leading roles were amazing ... especially Tobiash Menzes, who played two roles - Frank and Black Jack." In addition, Martin cited the star of the TV series "Cheap Horror" Eva Green as an example, also worthy of a nomination: "Of course, every year has its own lapses. And these days, making a decision is more difficult than ever. There are so many great TV shows to watch."

Martin is friends with Outlander author Diana Gabaldon , and openly declares his love for TV shows. The writer also expressed his delight over 23 Game of Thrones nominations, including Best Drama Series and acting nominations for Lena Hedy, Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Keith Harington and Emily Clarke.

"I'm thrilled and happy for all the nominees, of course ... but especially happy for Keith and Macy finally getting some love from the Academy. (And I'd love to see Sophie Turner on the list. I know I I know I'm greedy) ", added Martin.
