Sylvester Stallone turns 70
On July 6, 2016, the popular Hollywood actor, director and producer Sylvester Stallone turned 70 years old. The future Hollywood titan was born in New York to an immigrant family from Sicily. From an early age, he showed a penchant for acting, played in the school theater, although he was considered a difficult teenager. At the dawn of his career, he starred in several TV series and even moonlighted in adult movies. In 1975 he sold the script for the movie "Rocky" to a Hollywood studio with the obligatory condition that he would play the main role in it. It was participation in this picture that made Stallone famous. "Rocky" was a huge success with viewers: with a budget of only one million dollars, the project earned more than 200 million at the box office. Participation in the sequels of the movie about Rocky Balboa, as well as movieing in the dramatic action movie "Rambo: First Blood", on the script of which Stallone himself also worked, cemented the actor's star status in Hollywood. In total, Stilvester Stallone has starred in five dozen movies, including the likes of Cobra, Rock Climber, Destroyer and others. Sylvester Stallone has been nominated for the Academy Award three times, but never received the long-awaited recognition. He earned his first Golden Globes in 2016, starring in Creed: Rocky's Legacy.
