In the near future, the Lucasmovie movie studio will entrust the production of one of the Star Wars movies to a woman. The head of the company and producer of the new trilogy, Kathleen Kennedy, spoke about this in an interview with Fortune. "This will definitely happen. We are going to hire a woman to take on the Star Wars production. I have no doubts about that. On the other hand, I want to be sure that our candidate will make real progress on this. According to Kathleen Kennedy, she receives a lot of requests from male directors who confess their love for "Star Wars" and want to become directors of one of the episodes of the saga. "But there are few women with whom I could have such conversations," added the head of Lucasmovie. Kathleen Kennedy did not specify when to expect a female version of Star Wars.
