In the R-rated special version of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the level of violence will not be significantly different from what is shown to audiences in theaters. This was told in an interview with Entertainment Weekly by the movie's producer Charles Roven.

"There won't be a lot of blood in our movies. The rating bureau makes its decisions based on not only the intensity of the violence, but also its duration. There are some very intense episodes in the release of Batman v Superman, and if they continued long enough for a long time, perhaps the project would have a different rating, "he said.

As a reminder, the special edition of the movie, which has been rated R by the American Film Producers Association, will be released a few months after its release. Exactly what scenes will be included in it, at the time of this writing, it was not known.

It is assumed that fans of the movie will be able to see episodes with the participation of actress Jena Malone cut from the rental version. In an interview, director Zack Snyder also promised several "Easter eggs" related to the Justice League universe, without specifying what it was about.
