The director of the movie "Logan" James Mangold actually denied the statement made in an interview by the leading actor Hugh Jackman. The actor argued that the events of the picture take place in a different reality than the actions of previous movies based on comics about the X-Men.

"I don't think Hugh Jackman said exactly that. Simple fact. The events of our movie take place in 2029, that is, after any events that were shown in projects from the X-Men series before," he wrote in social network Twitter, answering a fan's question.

It also became known that the American Association of Filmmakers still assigned the movie an R rating due to the "abundance of explicit scenes of violence, profanity and the presence of partially nude in the frame."

The movie, scheduled for release on March 2, 2017, stars Hugh Jackman, Boyd Holbrook, Doris Morgado, Patrick Stewart, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Richard E. Grant, Eric La Salle, Elise Neil, Juan Gaspar and other actors.

"Logan" was named one of the ten most anticipated movie projects of 2017 according to the largest e-ticket seller - Fandango.
