Sony Pictures has decided to revive the movie adaptation of the popular series of games, united under the name "Uncharted". According to The Hollywood Reporter, citing its sources, Sean Levy, creator of Night at the Museum, has been appointed the new director of the movie, tentatively titled "The Unknown: Drake's Luck".

The new terms of work on the project, as well as its possible rental schedule at the time of this writing, have not been specified.

Recall that the studio Sony Pictures has been trying to start movieing the series "Uncharted" for many years. Many famous Hollywood directors were listed as potential directors. The last until mid-2015 was Seth Gordon, but he also eventually left the project, it is believed, due to some disagreements with the head of Sony Pictures, Tom Rothman. The movie was supposed to be based on a script by Joe Carnahan.

Note that Sean Levy has many different full-length and television projects in his plans. In particular, in 2017 he will be engaged in the second season of the popular science fiction series Stranger Things, and will also be a producer of movies, in particular, the drama Kodakhrom, which will premiere in 2017.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was released on May 10, 2016.
