David Ayer loses his position as director of the Scarface Remake

The Scarface crime drama has lost its director again. According to The Wrap, director David Ayer, who previously directed the movie "Suicide Squad", has left the project. The official reason is the conflict of movieing schedules, but this explanation looks strange, since Ayer was appointed to this post in May 2017 and should have been well aware of his plans for the near future.

Previously, the creator of the new Antoine Fuqua was listed as a version of the famous gangster movie, but he also turned down the project due to "schedule conflict". At the time of this writing, Diego Luna is still the leading actor, whose status in Hollywood has changed after his participation in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Recall that the original movie, which tells about the rise of an Italian emigrant in the US criminal world, was released in 1932. In 1983, the audience was presented with a remake, in which a Cuban was already featured as the main character, his role was played by Al Pacino.

It is expected that the new version will take place in Los Angeles, and on the criminal Olympus will be climb an emigrant from a Hispanic country.
