Dominic Cooper confirmed as Preacher in the TV series Preacher
Rumors that Dominic Cooper ("Agent Carter") will star in the upcoming adaptation of The Preacher comics have been officially confirmed. Executive Producer Seth Rogen tweeted the following commentary: "Reverend Jesse Caster is with us! @Dominiccoop will save our souls." Cooper joined the cast, which at the time of writing is listed as Lucy Griffiths in the role of single mother Emily Woodrow, church organist and Jesse's right hand; Joseph Gilgun as Irish vampire Cassidy, Jesse's buddy; Ruth Negga as Jesse's ex-girlfriend, Tulip O ’ Hare; and Ian Colletti as Eugene Root aka Arsface. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Sam Kathleen worked on the adaptation of the comic. The latter wrote the script and was appointed showrunner of the television project, which will be curated by James Weaver. Rogen and Goldberg will act as directors.
