The Parampunt Pictures movie studio intends to launch the movie adaptation of the graphic novel called "Torso", the main character of which is the legendary fighter against American gangsters Eliot Ness. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be directed by Paul Greengrass.

Recall that the special agent of the US Treasury Department, Eliot Ness, received an assignment from the US government in the late 1920s to put an end to the Chicago criminal group led by Al Capone. He assembled a team of like-minded people called "The Untouchables", since the powers of its members often went beyond the law. In 1931, as a result of several successful special operations, Ness managed to seize the account books of the Capone clan, which allowed the famous mafioso to be imprisoned for 11 years.

After the victory in Chicago, Ness was transferred to Cleveland, where he managed to send all the leaders of local criminal gangs behind bars. It is to this period in the life and work of the special agent that the "Torso" short story is devoted. Ness was involved in the search for a serial killer who dumped troupes of his victims into the river. The identity of the maniac was never established. The gruesome killings ended in 1938. The main suspect Ness considered Dr. Francis E. Sweeney, who was admitted to the hospital in 1938 and until the end of his days sent letters of threatening content to the Ness family.

The possible date of the movie's premiere has not yet been specified.
