Chinese Wanda to Buy Golden Globe Production Company
The Chinese corporation Wanda intends to buy the American company Dick Clark Productions, which is producing the Golden Globe Awards for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. This is reported by The Wrap with reference to its sources. The deal is valued at one billion dollars. The parties are said to be at an early stage of negotiations and declined to comment on this. If the deal is closed, the acquisition of Dick Clark Productions will mark another major milestone in Wanda's expansion into the US market. As a reminder, Wanda previously acquired one of North America's largest movie theater chains controlled by AMC Entertainment, as well as the Hollywood movie studio Legendary Entertainment.
