Christopher Nolan will destroy a rare WWII aircraft for some impressive footage of Dunkirk, which is being movieed in Normandy. According to Indie Revolver, at the request of the director, Warner Bros. acquired for five million dollars one of the surviving combat aircraft (presumably the German Air Force).

Nolan plans to install IMAX cameras on it to movie several scenes in the air, and then the plane will be spectacularly destroyed in one of the "battles". Sources of the publication note that the studio agreed to such a strange investment, as it expects that the project will be a hit on a global scale and more than justify all investments.

Recall that Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, Harry Styles, James D'Arcy, Anairin Barnard, Jack Louden, Damien Bonnard, Barry Keogan and other actors are starring in the movie. It will talk about a large-scale operation codenamed "Dynamo". Its goal was to rescue several hundred thousand soldiers trapped in the Dunkirk area as a result of the rapid advance of the German forces.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the British military and civilians of the two countries, 330 thousand troops were evacuated.
