Another cast member from the original Twin Peaks cast will reprise his role in Showtime's revived TV show. According to Deadline, citing its sources, Miguel Ferrer, who played the role of FBI agent Albert Rosenfield, will appear in a new series, which will premiere in 2017. Showtime refrains from commenting.

For eight episodes of the ABC series, which aired from 1990 to 1991, Ferrer played the cynical metropolitan forensic scientist who, because of his quarrelsome nature, clashed with the sheriff of Twin Peaks. Harry Truman (Michael Ontkin).

The only original cast member officially confirmed to appear in the revived series is Kyle McLachlan – he will again return to his image of the FBI agent Dale Cooper. The performer of the role of the victim of a crime, high school student Laura Palmer, and her cousin Maddie Ferguson Cheryl Lee is also involved in the series – she was photographed by the paparazzi while movieing the scene with McLachlan. It is rumored that David Patrick Kelly and Richard Beymer – brothers Jerry and Benjamin Horn – are involved in the TV project.

New artists on the show include Jennifer Jason Leigh, Robert Knepper, Balthazar Getty and Amanda Seyfried.
