FX commissioned a script for the Sons of Anarchy spin-off
Eight months after Kurt Sutter announced plans to create a spin-off for the cult TV series Sons of Anarchy, FX commissioned a script for a potential TV series called Mayans MC. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Creators of Sons of Anarchy Sutter and Elgin James will develop a project dedicated to the Mayans Motorcycle Club, which played a key role in the original drama. James will write the script for the drama for Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions. Mayans MC retains the same spirit as Sons of Anarchy and is described as a dark and brutal family drama featuring a new perspective on history through the eyes of Hispanics is presented.
