Danone is ready to pay Soyuzmultmovie for the image of Matroskin
Danone and Soyuzmultmovie are ready to settle their differences over the use of characters from the cartoon "Three from Prostokvashino". This is reported by the RNS agency with reference to the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky. "As far as I know, Danone is ready or has already signed an agreement with Soyuzmultmovie. There will be some copyright payments, we hope that everything will be positive, Danone will pay," the minister commented. Note that Soyuzmultmovie in 2015 made claims about the use of characters in the production of a series of dairy products "Prostokvashino". In turn, Danone representatives insisted that all the proper rights were acquired by the company from the creator of the original story, writer Eduard Uspensky. Soyuzmultmovie recognized the difficulty of resolving such issues, since not all legal problems in relations with authors of works have been overcome. Let us remind you that Uspensky's story "Uncle Fedor, Dog and Cat" was published in 1973. It became the first in a whole series of works by the writer dedicated to the adventure of three friends.
