Jared Leto and Chris Evans are negotiating a possible addition to the cast of The Girl on the Train, which will be based on Paula Hawkins' bestseller of the same name. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
In the center of the story is an unemployed and alcoholic woman named Rachel, who makes a daily train ride, during which she fantasizes about a happy married life, watching the same couple from the window. One day she returns home covered in blood, unable to remember because of her alcohol-clouded mind what happened to her. The heroine realizes with horror that she has become either a witness or a participant in the crime.
Emily Blunt will play the main role. The movie will also star Rebecca Ferguson and Hayley Bennett. It is alleged that Evans was offered the role of Rachel's ex-husband, and Leto, if the actor agrees, will play the man who lives next door. The movie is directed by Tate Taylor, creator of the multi-award winning drama The Servant. The terms of work on the project and a possible rental schedule have not yet been specified. It is highlighted that Evans and Leto's involvement remains questionable due to their other commitments.
