ABC announced the sequel to How to Get Away with Murder

Channel ABC has unequivocally hinted that the series "How to avoid punishment for murder" will continue. Following the two-hour final of the first season on Thursday, February 26, 2015, a promo teaser was shown, at the end of which was the inscription "TV series returns this fall." This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The television network has not yet officially confirmed the order for the production of the second season of the psychological thriller, created by Peter Knowalk and executive producers Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, starring Viola Davis. Avoiding Murder was a hit this season, and Viola Davis won a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role as Law Professor Annalize Keating.

The series debuted with high ratings – The premiere was watched by a total of fourteen million TV viewers, of which 3.8 million belong to key audiences between 18 and 49 years old. The series was the most watched television show on the day of its premiere. Based on DVR views of the first episode, the series has set a new record to date.

About a month ago, Davis announced on her Facebook page that the series would be renewed for a second season. Then the ABC management refrained from commenting.

ABC traditionally announces the renewal of its popular series, including Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and My American Family, at the end of February.
