Angelina Jolie may join the cast of Murder on the Orient Express, which will be based on the famous work of Agatha Christie. The publication Deadline reports this with reference to its sources.

Its action takes place on the so-called Orient Express - a train that ran between Paris and Istanbul. Poirot, trapped in this train, is forced to investigate the murder of an American tycoon, who was found in his compartment, closed from the inside, with multiple wounds.

Kenneth Branagh will be the director of the movie and the leading actor. The project will be overseen by a production team consisting of Ridley Scott, Simon Kienberg and Mark Gordon. The shooting and possible rental schedules of the movie were not specified at the time of this writing.

Note that the novel "Murder on the Orient Express" has been movieed several times in the past. The most famous version is considered to be the Hollywood movie of 1974.
