Brie Larson confirmed for Captain Marvel
During the presentation of Marvel Studios at Comic-con 2016, representatives of the company officially confirmed what was previously only an insider rumor: Academy Award winner Brie Larson will indeed star in Captain Marvel. This is reported by the ComicBook edition. Recall that the premiere of the movie is scheduled for March 2019, but before the release of the solo project, it is expected that the heroine will appear in one of the series of the Avengers 3 dilogy. The actress herself also confirmed her participation in the movie by posting on her official Twitter page a photo of herself wearing a baseball cap with the studio's logo, accompanied by the comment: "Call me Captain Marvel." Captain Marvel will be scripted by Gene Colan, Mag LeFow and Nicole Perlman. The shooting schedule for the movie, as well as the full cast, was not specified at the time of this writing. Captain Marvel has been nicknamed by several comic book characters. He debuted in 1967 and was originally an agent of the alien Kree race. Since 2012, Captain Marvel's costume and abilities have belonged to Carol Danvers, a brilliant US Air Force pilot, who happened to meet the alien Mar-Vell, and this meeting determined her future fate.
