The US Directors Guild has announced the winners of its TV projects section.

Best Director of Drama Series 2014 went to Leslie Linka Glatter, who directed the episode "From A to B and Back Again" on Showtime's Homeland. Competitors included Jodie Foster (House of Cards, Netflix), Carey Fukunaga (True Detectives, HBO), Dan Attias (Homeland, Showtime) and Alex Graves (Game of Thrones, HBO).

Best Comedy Series Director in 2014 was named Jill Soloway, who directed the episode "Best New Girl" on Amazon streaming service "Obvious". In the same category, Louis S.K. (Louis, FX), Jodie Foster, Orange Is The New Black, Netflix), Mike Judge (Silicon Valley, HBO) and Gail Mancuso (My American Family, ABC).

The winner in the category "Best Director of a Mini-Series or Film on TV in 2014" was Lisa Cholodenko, who directed the mini-series "What Does Olivia Know?" for HBO channel. Joining her for the title were Rob Ashford (Peter Pan Alive !, NBC), Uli Edel (Houdini, History), Ryan Murphy (Ordinary Heart, HBO) and Michael Wilson (Ride to Bountyful, Lifetime ).

The awards ceremony took place on February 7, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.
