Chinese telecommunications company Tencent has completely bought out League of Legends multiplayer game developer Riot Games. This is reported by the Gamespot edition.

In February 2015, Tencent already acquired a controlling stake in the studio, but now the acquisition process is fully completed. In addition to Riot Games, the Chinese company owns 40 percent of Epic Games and is also one of the major investors in Activision Blizzard.

As a reminder, Riot Games' most famous game at the time of this writing was a multiplayer MOBA game called "League of Legends". It was created like the popular map for "Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne" - "DotA". The essence of the game lies in the fact that teams consisting of characters "champions" fight on certain maps in order to destroy the enemy base by any means.

In Fall 2015, Riot Games announced that League of Legends will have its biggest update in six years in 2016, changing its hero selection system and more.

Over the past 2015, the game has brought developers over a billion dollars. League of Legends is one of the most popular esports disciplines in the world.
