Showrunners of the comedy-drama procedure "Castle", closed by ABC after the eighth season, have released a farewell letter. In it, Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter thanked the fans of the show, series creator Andrew W. Marlowe, the cast and crew. This is reported by the Deadline edition.

In April 2016, it was announced that the contracts with the star of the series Stana Katik, as well as Tamala Jones, were not renewed. The news was received negatively by fans, despite plans to produce a potential shortened ninth season featuring Nathan Fillion, Shimus Dever and John Huertas. Fox officially shut down Castle last week, announcing that the final episode of Season 8 will be the series' finale on May 16. which have become our family over the past eight years.
