Jake McDorman starred in the pilot of the sequel to Areas of Darkness

Jake McDorman ("Manhattan Love Story") has been cast in the pilot of the CBS drama "Limitless," based on the 2011 feature movie "Areas of Darkness," starring Bradley Cooper. McDorman, who coincidentally just starred with Cooper in Sniper, will play his character from the original movie. This is reported by the Deadline edition.

The events in the pilot, written by Craig Sweeney ("The Medium", "Elementary"), will continue from the moment at which the feature movie ended: Brian Sinclair (played by Cooper) finds out the properties of the mysterious drug NZT and is forced to use the abilities obtained as a result of its use to help the FRB in solving crimes.

Mark Webb ("The Amazing Spider-Man", "The Amazing Spider-Man: High Voltage") has been appointed Pilot Director. Neil Berger, who directed the feature movie, Cooper, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Todd Phillips, Ryan Cavanagh, Tucker Tooley and Heather Kadin will act as executive producers.

McDorman has appeared in recurring roles on Shameless. and "News".
