ABC bought the pilot rights to the procedural crime drama "Deception" from co-creator of the dramatic comedy "Chuck" Chris Fedak and magician, puzzle writer and writer / producer David Kwong, who is a consultant on the NBC drama "Blind Spot." The project is being handled by Warner Bros. TV and Greg Berlanti's Berlanti Television, co-movieing Blind Spot. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

The main character of "Deception", the script for which was written by Fedak, is a first-class magician. After a scandal destroyed his career, the only place where he can practice his art of deception, illusion and influence turns out to be the FBI. He will become the world's first consulting illusionist, who will assist the government in solving convoluted crimes and, through deception, lure criminals and spies into a trap.

Martin Jero (Blind Spot), Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (Legends of Tomorrow days "). Kwong will co-produce.

This is the second drama that ABC has acquired from Blind Spot's Jero, Berlanti and Shechter. The trio is also developing the action-drama "Criminal", scripted by Jero and co-written with Brendan Gall.
