2016 Golden Globe Award Winners Announced (TV Series)
The 2016 Golden Globe Awards ceremony was held in the USA, which is awarded by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Mister Robot (USA) was named Best Drama Series, and Taraji P. Henson, who played the female lead in Empire (Fox), was named "Best Dramatic Actress". John Hamm (Mad Men) won in the same men's category. Amazon streaming comedy "Mozart in the Jungle" has won two awards - Best Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Actor - Comedy or Musical (Gael Garcia Bernal). The CW starring Rachel Bloom won the Best Actress - Musical or Comedy category. Wolf Hall (BBC) was voted "Best Miniseries or Movie on TV". Oscar Isaac, who starred in the HBO miniseries Seeking a Hero, has been named "Best Actor for a Miniseries or Movie on TV." Lady Gaga received a Golden Globe in a similar female category for her role in the FX anthology American Horror Story: Hotel. Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress for a Miniseries or Movie on TV went to Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) and Mora Tierney (Roman), respectively.
