The pilot for the CBS drama "Limitless", based on the 2011 feature movie "Areas of Darkness," has a new director. Instead of the previously announced Neil Berger, who shot the original movie with Bradley Cooper in the title role, the director appointed the director of both parts about Spider-Man – "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "The Amazing Spider-Man: High Voltage" - Mark Webb. This is reported by Deadline.

Berger, who is movieing the Showtime Billions drama pilot in New York at the time of this writing, will retain executive producer on the TV pilot, which he shares with Bradley Cooper. Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Todd Phillips, Ryan Kavanagh, Tucker Tooley and Heather Kadin.

Events in the series, the script for which Craig Sweeney wrote ("The Medium", "Elementary"), will continue from the moment at which the feature movie ended: Brian Sinclair (played by Cooper) finds out the properties of the mysterious drug NZT and is forced to use the resulting abilities to help FRB in solving crimes.

Webb has experience in movieing pilots for TV series – he is credited with pilots for the Fox drama "Lone Star" and the Showtime musical comedy "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend".
