Favorite character of J.K. Rowling, in the series of works dedicated to Harry Potter created by her, is the mentor of the protagonist and head of the Hogwarts School of Wizardry, Albus Dumbledore. The writer herself spoke about this, answering questions from fans on her official page on the social network Twitter.

Recall that Dumbledore's name is associated not only with the most impressive plot twists in the cycle, but also shocking discoveries. So, after the release of the last of the books, Rowling stated that the wizard's sexual orientation was unconventional.

Dumbledore also wrote the introduction to the textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, based on which Warner Bros. hopes to build a new movie series. The first part will be presented to viewers in November 2016, and the other two - in 2018 and 2020, respectively. The role of Albus Dumbledore was played by Richard Harris, and after his death - Michael Gambon. Whether this character will appear in the new series of movies has not been specified at the time of this writing.

In 2015, the writer chose her favorite chapter from her works. It turned out to be the 34th chapter of the book "The Deathly Hallows", which is called "Back in the Woods".
