Benicio Del Toro withdrew from the Predator

Benicio Del Toro refused to participate in the fantastic movie "Predator". The Hollywood Reporter reports this with reference to its sources. The reason was not specified, but, most likely, the parties did not agree on financial obligations.

Fox was quick to find a replacement for Del Toro in the form of Narc star Boyd Holbrooke. Despite the fact that the actors belong to completely different weight categories in Hollywood, the studio's bet on Holbrook is understandable, since the actor has already starred in a promising Fox project - the movie "Logan", in which he played the role of a villain.

It is assumed that the movieing of the new "Predator" will start in early 2017 with an eye on the premiere in February 2018. At the time of this writing, the plot of the picture was not known. Previously, director Shane Black claimed that his project would be an "inventive sequel." The director also promised to update the image of the alien hunter to be more in line with modern concepts of technology and weapons.

It is still unknown whether Arnold Schwarzenegger, the leading actor in the 1987 original, will participate in the movie. The actor met with Black about this, but it was not reported how these negotiations ended.
