Lionsgate will movie a sequel to Saw

Lionsgate plans to continue developing its popular Saw franchise. According to BloodyDisgusting, for this purpose the studio hired Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger, who are tasked with preparing the script for the movie entitled "Saw: Legacy".

It is not yet known whether the new movie project will become a direct sequel to the movie "Saw 3D", released in 2010, or whether the audience will face a complete reboot of the series. Terms of work on the project and a possible rental schedule are not specified. At the time of this writing, the movie also did not have a director and key actors.

Recall that the original movie was released in 2004 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon, earning more than $ 100 million at the box office with a production budget of $ 1.2 million. All subsequent parts of Saw, with comparable budgets, also earned over $ 100 million, making this project one of the most cost-effective projects in Hollywood history.

Note that Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger have a script for the movie "Piranha 3D" and its sequel.
