Natalie Dormer to star in the movie about the creation of the Oxford Dictionary
Natalie Dormer, known to viewers primarily for the TV series "Game of Thrones", will play one of the main roles in the movie entitled "The Professor and the Madman". This is reported by The Wrap. The plot of the picture will focus on the process of creating the world-famous Oxford Dictionary. The director is Farad Safina, who wrote the work "Apocalypse", on the basis of which Mel Gibson shot the historical drama of the same name. Gibson himself will also take part in the movie "The Professor and the Madman" and will play the role of Professor James Murray, who began compiling the dictionary in 1857. Gibson, who has long intended to movie the story, will also act as a producer. He may be accompanied by Sean Penn, who has been offered the role of Dr. Minor, a psychiatric patient involved in adding 10,000 concepts to the monumental work. Natalie Dormer will play a widow whose husband was killed by Penn's character, which, however, did not prevent her from entering into a romantic relationship with the latter. Voltage Pictures will present the project to potential buyers at the Toronto Film Festival. Filming is expected to start in September 2016.
