Rodina and Roman extended for the next seasons (Topic)

Cable channel Showtime has announced the renewal of its hit series Rodina and Roman for the next seasons. Emmy award-winner Rodina will return in 2016 with its sixth season, and Golden Globe laureate Roman with its third. The Hollywood Reporter reports this with reference to Showtime.

The renewal of both dramas is not surprising, since the series are in the top script shows of the channel in terms of delayed views, taking into account the day of the premiere. For three days from the moment of broadcasting "Rodina" gathers an audience of 2.7 million and 1.05 million among viewers from 18 to 49 years old. "Roman" is watched by one and a half million people with a demo-rating of 0.6 million viewers.

As for Rodina, then the news of the series' renewal for the next season appeared a few hours later after the announcement of the nominees for the Actors Guild Award. The series received three nominations along with Game of Thrones. As a reminder, the fifth season of the show by executive producers Alex Hansa and Howard Gordon takes place in Berlin.

Both Rodina and Roman are the cornerstone of Showtime's fall schedule. the channel's script dramas also include Masters of Sex, Cheap Horror, Ray Donovan, and Shameless. In January 2016, the premiere of the new drama "Billions" will take place.
