In a competitive struggle, The CW enlisted the support of "Veronica Max" and "I'm a Zombie" creator Rob Thomas to develop a new version of the 1987 vampire movie "The Lost Boys" in a serial format. It is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

It is assumed that the new version will consist of seven seasons and will show the events that have taken place over seventy years. Each season will represent a separate decade. Should the series be commissioned for production, the first season will be set in San Francisco in 1967, the so-called Summer of Love. Each season, the story, the setting and the people will change. Only vampires – the lost guys will remain the same.

Thomas will write and produce the series through his Spondoolie Productions banner with Dan Etheridge. Juliana Janes, Mike Katz and Bill Bindley (Gulfstream), who proposed the idea for a remake of the movie, which starred Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patrick, Jamie Hertz, Corey Haim and Corey Feldman, will serve as executive producers.

Potential Lost Boys will close the "vampire gap" in the channel's schedule after The CW bids farewell to the Vampire Diaries veteran drama, which is likely to end after this upcoming eighth season. p>Corey Haim and Corey Feldman will serve as executive producers.
