Carrie Coon starred in Season 3 of Fargo (Topic)

The third season of "Fargo" has found a leading role. As reported by TV Line, Leftover star Carrie Coon has joined previously cast Evan McGregor in the female lead.

Coon will play Gloria Bergle, the down-to-earth woman who rushes for a fire extinguisher first when bacon begins to smoke , while the rest of them panic. Police chief Edna Valley, a recently divorced single mother, is passionate about embracing this new world in which people around her find language faster with their phones than with each other.

As previously reported, McGregor will play two brothers, Emmit and Ray Stussy.

The third season of the FX anthology will begin production later this year, with a premiere scheduled for 2017. Rumored to be the plot for the upcoming season will unfold in 2010, following the events of the first season. It is not yet known whether any storylines of both seasons will be connected.

Last December, creator and showrunner Noah Hawley confirmed that none of the main characters of the first season will return in the third.
