Russo brothers will work on the Captain China project
Captain America 3: Civil War moviemakers Anthony Russo and Joe Russo will oversee the creation of the Chinese superhero franchise. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The project, which fans have already christened "Captain China", will be implemented in cooperation with the Chinese studio FangJin Visual Media Culture Communication Company. The working title of the first movie to be movieed under the agreement between the parties is "Hero's Awakening". "In the future, everyone will have to focus on the Chinese movie market. Working with the Russo brothers, we intend to take advantage of their rich experience in creating movie projects that will satisfy all the needs of the national distribution," said Lee Xing, head of FangJin studio. The movie is directed by renowned Hollywood production designer Anthony Leonardi, who developed the concept art for Game of Thrones, and Chinese director Mushui Feng. The plot of the picture is not specified, it is only known that all the characters will be Chinese, as well as the performers of their roles. If successful, the first movie will be followed by several sequels. The project budget has not been formed, as work on the script is still ongoing.
