Warner Bros. Film Studio acquired the rights to movie the game Five Nights at Freddy's. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Production teams from Vertigo Entertainment and KatzSmith Productions will supervise the movie.

At the time of this writing, the timing of the project has not been specified. The producers were busy looking for writers to be tasked with adapting the game's storyline for the big screen.

Recall that the first episode of the multi-platform horror game, created by Scott Coughton, was released via Steam in August 2014, followed by a sequel in November. At the beginning of 2015, fans of the game received the third part at their disposal.

In the center of the plot of "Five Nights at Freddy`s" is a security guard who got a job at the pizzeria "Freddy Fazbear`s Pizza", where animatronic robots amuse children and adults during the day, but become deadly at night. The player needs to hold out for 12 hours (about 10 minutes of real game time) without having any weapons at his disposal, only tracking the movements of the robots and closing the doors in front of them.

The game was highly appreciated by users, despite the simplicity of the plot and simplified graphics.
