The winners of the Kinotavr 2018 festival have been announced
In Sochi, at a ceremony held in the Winter Theater, the winners of the Kinotavr 2018 movie festival were announced. The main award - the Grand Prix - went to the movie "Heart of the World" by Natalia Meshchaninova. The movie tells about a veterinarian who works in the USA province at a baiting station for hunting dogs. Anna Slyu, who played in the movie "Tossing", which was directed by Ivan I. Tverdovsky, was recognized as the best actress, Stepan Devonin became the best actor, leading role in the movie "Heart of the World". The Grigory Gorin Prize for the best screenplay was awarded to the creators of the movie "The Story of One Purpose", which was created by Avdotya Smirnova. The same project, based on real events that happened to the writer Leo Tolstoy during his military service, was also awarded the People's Choice Award. Gregory of Constantinople was awarded the "Kinotavr" award in the "Best Director" category for the movie "USA Bes". As a reminder, the Kinotavr Film Festival is held in Sochi from June 2 to 10, 2018.
