The adaptation of a series of popular games "Uncharted", which Sony Pictures was going to present to the audience, has lost its director. According to the publication Deadline, the project was left by the creator of the movie "Cloverfield, 10" Dan Traktenberg.

The reason for his departure was not specified. The studio management urgently started looking for a new director, since movieing should start before the end of 2019. Recall that the main role is still assigned to the performer of the role of Spider-Man Tom Holland.

Earlier it became known that the movie with the working title "The Unknown: Drake's Luck" will focus on the youth of the treasure seeker Nathan Drake and his first adventures. It is expected to be the first feature-length movie produced by Sony's PlayStation Productions division.

Recall that Traktenberg was not the first director to turn down the post. Seth Gordon, Sean Levy and others planned to movie the game.

The release of the movie is scheduled for December 18, 2020. The acclaimed third-person action-adventure shooter "Uncharted" was introduced in 2007. Episode 4, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, premiered in 2016.
