Fox has made a major revision of the distribution schedules of its promising movie projects. So, the release date of the movie adaptation of the Japanese manga "Alita: Battle Angel" has been changed. According to Deadline, instead of December 21, 2018, as previously planned, the picture will be presented to viewers on February 14, 2019.

The X-Men: Dark Phoenix movie, which took the same date, moved to the summer, and now announced on June 7, 2019. In turn, another movie adaptation of the Marvel comics "Gambit", which was supposed to be released in June 2019, will be released in March 2020.

The reason for the postponements has not yet been specified. As for "Alita", then, most likely, Fox is just going to take advantage of a rolling window during the Chinese New Year. The new X-Men story will now compete at the box office with the Charlie's Angels remake, which is also announced for June 7, 2019.

It is noteworthy that instead of the movie "Alita: Battle Angel", Fox studio plans to release released on December 21, 2018, the movie "Deadpool 2" in the PG-13 version. Previously, this adaptation of the comics was shown in American theaters with an "adult" R rating.
