As reported by Comingsoon, the movie will not be released on March 22, 2018, as previously planned, but will be presented to viewers on September 21 of the same year. Earlier it became known that the actor Taron Egerton will play Robin Hood himself, Ben Mendelssohn, familiar to the audience from the series "Pedigree", will play the role of Robin's main enemy - the Sheriff of Nottingham. Jamie Foxx will play Tiny John as a friend and ally of the protagonist, and Eve Hewson will play Robin Hood's lover, the Virgin of Marion. The movie is directed by Otto Buferst, who shot some episodes of the series "Peaky Blinders".

At the time of this writing, the plot of the movie was not known. The action is expected to take place after one of the Crusades. Returning from the war, young Robin learns that his native land is mired in corruption and decides to gather a band of daredevils to take under the protection of local residents.

The only competitor of the picture in this "rental window" will be the animated movie "Monsters on vacation 3 ", also available for hire on September 21st.
