Warner Bros. has appointed a new director of DC Films studio in charge of the adaptation of popular comics. According to Variety, it was Walter Hamada, who was previously responsible for the production of movie projects in another division of Warner Bros. - New Line studio.

Hamada, in particular, took part in the creation of such movies as The Conjuring, The Hangman and one of the main hits of 2017 - the horror movie It. Before joining New Line, Hamada worked with production studio H2F Entertainment.

Recall that a new series of reshuffles took place at DC Films after the failure of the movie Justice League, which was considered one of the key projects of 2017. The picture was crushed by critics and collected less in the world box office, than needed to payback. The Justice League's production budget was estimated at $ 300 million.

DC Films chief John Berg was removed from his position, and Jeff Jones, who oversaw the creation of movies based on the comics, although he retained the post. but he lost his former powers and in the future will be mainly engaged in television projects.
